Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must: 

  • Be at least 18 years old  
  • Meet all program requirements  
  • Have a clean criminal record  
  • Not pose any reputational or security risk  
  • Pass full due diligence checks  

Program Framework

The program is regulated under the Citizenship by Investment Act No. 14 of 2015. 

The National Economic Fund (NEF) receives qualifying contributions, which are used to support national development initiatives. 

Process Overview

  • Application submitted to the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU)  
  • Full documentation and due diligence review  
  • Decision issued (approved, denied, or delayed)  
  • Investment must be completed within 90 days of approval  
  • Oath of allegiance signed before an authorized official  
  • Certificate of citizenship issued
